DaBaby Was Detained On Battery Charges In Miami

On Thursday night (January 2), DaBaby was arrested in Miami on battery charges. The Miami Herald reports that the North Carolina rapper, born Jonathan Kirk, was brought in for questioning related to a break-in that took place earlier that day. While there, authorities found that he had an open warrant in Texas due to a battery charge, and he was jailed. His bond is set at $1,500

” He was taken to head offices for questioning, reference a possible break-in,” Miami authorities spokesperson Kiara Delva informed the Herald “We have not verified his participation in the case, but break-in detectives were questioning him.”

According to TMZ, the supposed break-in for which police generated DaBaby for questioning relates to an altercation with a promoter. After DaBaby and his entourage supposedly met with the unnamed man, the rap artist felt he was being cheated out of made money. The cops report mentions that the fight escalated into a physical altercation after that, resulting in two males being punched. DaBaby was detained after that.

DaBaby was likewise just recently apprehended on December 23 for marijuana ownership in his hometown of Charlotte. The next day, the rap artist talked to news outlets about launching video showing that he not did anything wrong in the arrest. “What we got is premium audio and video of me doing whatever however withstanding arrest before they just brought me down here,” he said. “And we will be airing it out, and y’ all will see how unclean the CM police department simply did me on the vacations in front of my child when I was putting on a program for my city.”
